Specific Duties:
 
3 Shall be conversant with process equipment.
3

Shall be efficiently handling equipment unloading / placement on foundation / staging of other

auxiliaries / services connections.

3 Levelling of plant equipment with precision levelling equipment.
3 Should be aware of equipment alignments (i. e. static and rotary). 
3 Shall be aware of safety precautions during equipment erection and commissioning. 
   
Eligibility:
 
3 Vocational or industrial trade training with 2 to 3 years experience in mechanical trade in oil &  gas industry.
3

Alternatively any equivalent qualifications.

   
Course Contents:
3 Introduction on role of erector in oil and gas industry.
3 Description of various equipment such as tanks, columns, reactors, vessels, heat exchangers, reboilers etc.
3

Understanding of plant layouts, equipment drawings, including nozzle orientations and piping systems.

3

Knowledge of checking verticality and precision levelling.

   
Course Duration:
 
3 3 weeks
   

Methodology:

  Techskill observes sequence of actions.
 
a) Inquiry from client
b) Finalizing client's exact requirements
c) Submission of proposal
d) Conduct discussions on contractual aspects and
e) Commence training.
   
Infrastructure:
Techskill training workshop is equipped with precision measuring instruments and alignment checking tools, which are a key input for erection skills. Additionally, we combine the interactive DVD demos, to understand the finer aspects of the erection. On gaining these basic inputs, we compliment with suitable plant site visits.
   

Assessment & Grading of trainees:

  To ensure proper progress of training, Techskill periodically conducts assessment of all trainees. Normally a review at the beginning of course then in middle of course duration and finally on completion of course.
