To prepare required unit pieces of piping systems such
as manifolds, spools, supports etc. |

To carry out welding on carbon steel, stainless steel
pipe and vessels. |

Eligibility: |
|
|
Vocational or industrial trade training with 2 to 3
years experience in mechanical trade in oil &
gas industry. |
|
Alternatively any equivalent
qualifications.

Course Contents: |
|
|
Introduction of role of pipe fabricator at
construction sites. |
|
Identification of Piping systems, classifications,
color coding, legend letters. |
|
Practical handling of gas cutting, blow pipe, managing
back fire incidents etc.
|
|
Handling and carrying out piping systems, with all
types of piping hardware.
|
|
Study of drawings, symbols, preparation of bill of
materials and part lists. |

All types and sizes of pipes, pipe fittings and pipe
supports available. Availability of standard and
special tools for pipe fabrication work. Available
measuring tools.

Assessment & Grading of
trainees:

|
To ensure proper progress of training, Techskill
periodically conducts assessment of all trainees.
Normally a review at the beginning of course then in
middle of course duration and finally on completion of
course. |
